Project Den is back .. and bigger than ever before!
Here's what you need to know in a nutshell:
Project Den brings together Enactus UK teams who want feedback on their projects with alumni who want to give them that feedback.
On Saturday 1st November 2014, we will be hosting five Project Den events across five UK regions located in; Birmingham, Bristol, London, Manchester and Scotland. This will be our biggest Project Den to date. So we'll need your help.
The rest of this email explains why, how, where and what we need you to do so read on if you want to know more!
Our aims for Project Den are:
1. To give every Enactus team high-quality face-to-face advice on their projects. And that's why we need you - through sharing your invaluable experience, both in Enactus and beyond it, we’re looking to collectively improve all UK projects, meaning better impact, and more lives impacted.
2. To display the growing strength and depth of the alumni network across the entire UK - we are no longer a network solely located within the M25.
How's it going to work?
Each event will invite all the teams in the locality of the region to attend Project Den in person. Each location will have a cohort of alumni mentors participating - this is an exciting opportunity for you to impact a range of teams, see some incredible projects and meet with other alumni in the Enactus Network.
The allocation of teams in regions is as follows:
Birmingham – 11 teams – 3 dens
Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham, NTU, Lincoln, Birmingham, Aston, Coventry, Warwick, Oxford & Oxford Brookes
Bristol – 7 teams – 2 dens
Cardiff, Swansea, UWE, Bristol, Bath, Plymouth & Exeter
London – 19 teams – 5 dens
Essex, UEA, Cambridge, Bedfordshire, Sussex, Southampton, Solent, Surrey, Kent, Portsmouth, LSE, BPP, City, KCL, UCL, QMUL, Imperial, RHUL & Reading
Manchester – 13 teams – 3 dens
Lancaster, Manchester, Liverpool, Salford, Keele, York, Teesside, Durham, Newcastle, Sheffield, Leeds & Leeds Met
Scotland (location TBC) – 6 teams – 2 dens
Glasgow, GCU, Strathclyde, Dundee, Edinburgh & St Andrews
We are seeking to have at least 4 alumni mentors per team and per den.
Interested in playing a part?
So, if you would like to play a part of what promises to be an incredible event pleasecomplete this form.
Application Deadline is 5th October. We would like to encourage mentors who provide ‘distance’ mentoring to look at possibly attending the regions which their ‘distance’ teams will be attending. The events will be from 10am till 5.15pm, made up of 4x90min sessions with ample time for breaks.
We understand that you may not be able to necessarily give up all of your day to attend, in which case please let us know and we will bear this in mind during the team/room/mentor allocations. There'll be an opportunity for drinks at the nearest pub after the event, so you can get to know the other alumni in your area too.
We want to stress one more time that all of you in the Alumni Network have such valuable experiences to give to teams and projects. So whether you worked on commercial projects, social projects, international projects or in the management committee structure, and are free on the 1st November, we want to hear from you.
We'll even do our best to provide you with some supporting materials, and are happy to discuss Project Den further if you have more questions.
