Project Den 2015

On Saturday 28th November 2015 we will be hosting five Project Den events across five UK regions located in; Birmingham, Bristol, London, Manchester and Edinburgh. This will be our biggest Project Den to date. So we'll need your help.

We'll provide you with some supporting materials, including workshops and activities you can run with projects, project den FAQs and on hand support from the mentoring team on the day.

The Aims

Our aims for Project Den are; to give every Enactus team high-quality face-to-face advice on their projects. Through sharing your invaluable experience, both in Enactus and beyond it, we’re looking to collectively improve all UK projects, meaning better impact, and more lives changed.
Our second aim for Project Den is to display the growing strength and depth of the alumni network across the entire UK. We are no longer a network solely located within the M25. Each event will invite all the teams in the locality of the region to attend in person. This is an exciting opportunity to impact a range of teams, see some incredible projects and meet with other alumni in the Enactus Network.

Interested in playing a part?

If you would love to play a part of what promises to be an incredible event please complete this form. The application deadline is 30th October.

The events will be from 10am till 5.15pm, made up of 4 x 90min sessions with ample time for breaks.

We understand that you may not be able to necessarily give up all of your day to attend, in which case please let us know and we will bear this in mind during the team/room/mentor allocations.

There'll be an opportunity for drinks at the nearest pub after the event, so you can get to know the other alumni in your area too.

We want to stress one more time that all of you in the Alumni Network have such valuable experiences to give to teams and projects. So, whether you worked on commercial projects, social projects, international projects or in the management committee structure, and are free on the 28th November, we want to hear from you.

Signed up and eager to meet more teams: here's the link to forward to the teams you mentor to sign up.

Enactus UK Alumni - London November Networking Lunch

Hello fellow Lunchers!

Our second MeetUp (which will be a roaring success!) will be at Paper and Cup in Shoreditch.

London is a very dynamic city with lots of freelancers, students, entrepreneurs and others. In the Enactus UK Alumni Network working in an office can sometimes be lonely as there are few like-minded people to interact with, or have lunch with. And who want to be sitting at home when there are hunderds of like-minded alumni to meet.

And that is why Enactus UK Alumni Lunch MeetUp was created!! A MeetUp group for alumnus who would like to network together somewhere in London. So if you are interested, sign up and lets do lunch :-)

So beautifully branded that you might be suspicious its charitable purpose is to rescue floundering media interns, but beneath the filament bulbs and enamel dishes is the warmest heart and some very enticing locally made goodies. The majority of their staff, who could charm the beards off many of Shoreditch’s surly baristas, are trainees who have been rehabilitated by The Spitalfields Crypt Trust, a charity offering support for people recovering from addictions.

Enactus Luncher Rules:
- In order to keep the group small and manageable we´ve will set the limit of spots to 15 for now, unless we are going somewhere with lots of space.

- There will always be some last minute cancellations due to unforeseen things, therefore if you cannot come, please RSVP No, so that people on the waiting-list can join. Those of you on waiting list, please check an hour or half-hour before if a space opened up

- People will come and go at different times and we also don´t want to overwhelm the venue hosting us, so we don´t wait for everyone to come before people start to order.

- Easiest way to handle the bill if for everyone to pay for what they ate and drank (if the cafe wants to handle this with one big bill or several small ones I will let you know at the event)

Enactus Talks - Impact Investment

We're happy to announce the next #EnactusTalks will feature guest speaker Jonathan Hick! Who is coming to enlighten us with his perspective on the social investments.

Five years rocking the corporate world at PwC, Jonny made the jump across to the impact investment space advising on and structuring some of the largest deals in the impact investment sector. He is able to provide a unique and relatable perspective into the world of social investment, enterprise and work.

We would like to invite you to this years series of #EnactusTalks bringing together speakers of interest on topics selected by alumni. These events are a fantastic opportunity to network amongst ourselves and with speakers on topics most relevant to us as a network.

Join us for an evening of knowledge sharing and interactive learning as we explore innovations in the social investment space and, most importantly, how social enterprises and the people they serve can benefit as much as possible from social investment.
